I’ve been lucky enough to call Oxfordshire home all my life, while also travelling widely for both leisure and business — from Europe and the Middle East to Australia and New Zealand (where I enjoyed my own honeymoon!). Over the years I’ve built up a deep knowledge of destinations, cultures, and those special experiences that make a trip truly memorable.
In early 2025, I decided to combine my love of planning and travel with over 20 years’ experience in delivering exceptional customer service, to help others create their own dream escapes. As a self-employed personal travel consultant, my approach is all about listening carefully to what my customers want, then designing a tailor-made experience that’s stress-free and unforgettable — complete with thoughtful, personal touches.
Through Explorer Travel Holidays by Richard, I operate a franchise of Hays Travel, the UK’s largest independent travel agency. This means that while I’m fully self-employed, I have access to exclusive deals with leading suppliers, including specialists in weddings and honeymoons. And, of course, all bookings come with full ABTA and ATOL protection for complete peace of mind.
